I was a patient here about two and a half years ago.. I always get good care here and will continue to return if needed. The Wound Care Team is absolutely phenomenal! I wouldn't trade them for the world, they were all so gentle with me, kind and friendly and made me feel so comfortable and took their time. Heather & Leona are fantastic! All of the floor nurse techs are friendly too. My favorite nurse is Toni. Also Chi Chi, Bibi and Ms. Mary were great, they engaged with me and held good conversations. I was able to get some good rest being here and am glad I received great care.

We originally were told at our transferring facility that my husband would need skilled nursing care, but I knew he still needed to be seen by physicians daily so I began my own research on Kindred Hospital Bay Area. It was closer to our home and I had heard some great things about this hospital. I called the facility to explain our situation and verify if they took our insurance. After speaking with the intake department I knew this was definitely the place I wanted my husband to receive care at. The initial transfer wasn't as smooth as I had hoped for, but that wasn't Bay Area's fault.. we were being transferred to Kindred in Sugarland I believe because it was the closest Kindred to the hospital we were at. But then the Administrator herself, Tiffany, called me and asked if I wanted to go to Bay Area - I explained to her that Yes, I had done my own research and it was close to my home... she then apologized for the confusion, and made the transfer to KBA happen!! I felt so special that Tiffany personally called me, that is unheard of from a hospital. We were so thankful she did because the care we received was top notch! Our overall experience was awesome! They began aggressive therapy right away, which my husband responded to immediately and became more alert and within a few days he had made significant progress than compared to at the prior facility. Every staff member that worked with us was amazing, but especially Angela and Bernie in the ICU. The both of them comforted my family and affirmed that we picked the right hospital. Once we got out of ICU and moved up to the floor Llora (day shift) and Ann (night shift) went above and beyond to be very sweet and compassionate, they did more than I've ever had any nurses do for us and I am truly thankful they were able to care for my husband. Speech therapist Paul was fantastic and really helped with getting my husband to respond! I cannot say enough about how wonderful this hospital was to us.. our physicians were knowledgeable and very informative of their treatment plans, Dr. Haddad was simply fantastic. I was even accommodated in the room with my own cot to be able to stay overnight, and when I got hungry I'd go downstairs for the most affordable and tasty food! They are catered by Luby's and everyday the food was delicious!! I give this facility 5+ stars, and definitely recommend them to family and friends! Thank you all so much, The Resendez Family.

My mom was transferred to Kindred from St. Luke's Patients hospital and has been receiving excellent care. Our overall experience has been a 10 here and we recommend anyone over to this facility. Along with the very good care, the atmosphere at Kindred in Pasadena is quiet and very clean. All nurses that have worked with us are all very helpful, professional and have servant attitudes. They are always well mannered and cleanly dressed. My mom's room is constantly stocked with supplies she needs and we never lack for anything. Mom receives dialysis treatments and Codi from the Dialysis team gives the best care for my mom. I'd like to personally thanks Jamie and Debbie with the Special Procedures team for providing gentle care and being so nice to us. Kindred Bay Area has exceeded our expectations!

My husband and I absolutely love this hospital! Every staff member at this facility has been kind, compassionate, and loving towards us! This is our second admission here and when given the option to need long term care, we were certain we wanted to return to Kindred Bay Area in Pasadena. My husband needs wound car treatments and the whole team is phenomenal! Ms. Shelia and her team pay extra attention to detail and I even learned how to properly wrap my husband's wound to make cleaning it easier!! We love the food, and even visit from time to time just to eat since it is inexpensive, tasty and near our home.. plus we get to visit with all of the employees that have become like family. We love ALL of them, but a few of our favorites are: Shelia, Becky, Heather, Penny, BiBi, Eugenia, Emelda, Carol, Delila, Armando.. honestly too many to mention, but they are amazing and hard workers! Our physicians are exceptional as well, Dr. Dahu, Dr. Lee and Dr. Shah for outpatient wound care treatments. The physical therapy has kept my husband active, and I've even joined him with some exercises so that I can encourage and stay active with him. I will always recommend Kindred to anyone, and I will soon become a volunteer to keep this great group of people in our lives! Thanks so much for the hospitality and excellent care.

I have been a patient at this hospital for over a week and I received excellent care. I originally chose to have treatments here because my father had been a patient himself nearly 7 years ago, and was given the same excellent care. My overall experience has been phenomenal and I would definitely recommend Kindred to all of my family and friends! The staff is open and communicates greatly with me, they always receive my questions and provide me with answers I'm able to understand. I came into this hospital hardly being able to stand on my own two feet, but with the help of the Physical Therapy team I am now able to move around on my own and walk great distances compared to before! I couldn't have done it without the help of Armando and Bea in the Rehab team, they encouraged me and were respectful of my daily limits. Paul was awesome too! The food... even though it is "hospital food" it had great flavor, sometimes my stomach couldn't hold heavy food items down, but the kitchen was able to compensate with extra portions of items I could keep down, which I am truly thankful for. All RNs and CNAs were great! My room was kept very clean during my stay here as well, which was nice. All in all Kindred Bay Area met all of my expectations and then some!

I originally selected Kindred Hospital Bay Area for my long term care treatment because it was close by my home, and easily accessible for my family to visit me.. I needed infectious disease treatment and I couldn't be more thankful to Kindred for the wonderful care I received. I was able to heal and recover in a comfortable atmosphere and not once did I regret my decision to be transferred to this hospital. My overall experience was great and I even got to enjoy a nice view my my private room's window! My room was kept exceptionally clean and was adequately stocked with all the supplies I needed. The care for the nursing department met my expectations and a few individuals stood out and surpassed them! I'd like to thank Chi Chi, Penny, Tina, Nelly and Mayola for their compassion and excellent service. I realized that I needed to increase my water intake to help my body stay hydrated and I hope to continue this practice once I'm home. I definitely enjoyed my doctors as well, they kept me informed of my treatment plans. I would recommend this facility to those in need!

Thank you all again, Mrs. Williams

Dr. Moore, my surgeon, referred me to Kindred Bay Area. The atmosphere at Kindred has been very healing, nice and quiet. The rooms were cleaned daily sometimes twice a day. My room was stocked with plenty of supplies for the nursing team and aides. Yvonne, Ima, and Tish in rehab are all good people. The rehab team was exceptional. Nurse Ann and nurse Bebe standout when I think of the people who provided excellent care. Nurse Bebe goes above and beyond for her patients. I remember when I first arrived, it was late, Bebe got food for me. The tray had some foods that I didn't eat and I told her. Bebe did not give up until she had a satisfying meal for me. It was really appreciated! Bebe and Ann would always make sure I was taken care of and didn't need anything. They didn't wait for me to press the bell, they would just show up. These two ladies are assets to this hospital. The wound care team was great as well. My wounds were not in a very good place. They worked really hard to heal my wounds and I am thankful to them. This hospital has overly exceeded my expectations and I thank everyone who helped in my care.

What a wonderful hospital Kindred Hospital Bay Area is!! I have visited a lot of hospitals, but they take their time with their patients here. The staff exhibits such excellent teamwork. All the doctors come in faithfully and let you know what is going on. I really appreciate the whole team. I was referred to kindred hospital by my foot doctor. My overall experience has been great! The hospital atmosphere is pleasant and everything went good. The housekeepers did an excellent, excellent job at keeping my room and bathroom clean. The food was alright, not like how I cook, but it's a hot meal. I learned a great deal here, especially about HBO, which is hyperbaric oxygen therapy for wounds. I learned a lot from Sheila and her wound care team. They are an excellent team! I really enjoyed talking to Leona in wound care. The team kept my room stock with needed supplies, they were clean and smelled good. This hospital exceeded my expectation. When I found out that I would be transferred to Kindred Bay Area, I didn't know what it would be like, but the staff went over questions that I had. They took their time to explain things very slowly. You can tell that they care. I really want to thank Von and Denise for listening to my concerns and personal issues. I Would like to also really thank the wound are team for educating me on what to do at home with my wound. They even gave me their number to call if I every have question while at home. I am very satisfied and will tell others about my experience at Kindred Bay Area.

Armando & Bea in Rehab were very patient and sweet, and understanding. My Dad didn't feel like putting the rubber band on to do his exercise . So they explained to him how to do his exercise when he was feeling better. So they left the bands at his bedside and told my dad that they would return later to check on him.
Esperanza(day) and Ruby(night) for 24 hrs I had very caring Nursing Assistant Care from the both of them, Thank You! Dietary came by and took the time to go over the menu, also helping decide on some great choices. Pamela (Day RN) educated us about meds and why certain meds shouldn't be taken on certain days. She explained what each pill does and why, walks through steps and why she is doing what she is doing. Loretta(Day RN) was very patient with my mom, she wasn't afraid to communicate in Spanish to my mom regarding my dad's care. Dr. Tran referred us to Kindred Bay Area. We we had excellent care. Felt more like home we were treated more like family. It was bitter sweet that he had to leave. He wants to come back and visit. Good variety of food, they had a little bit of everything. This hospiptal exceeded my expectations. Flexibility to come and leave, parking was convenient and very accesible. All the Nursing Assistant's make sure we were fully stocked with supples in our room. Everyone was really nice, all the care was great. Dr Tran was really great. Dr. Qureshi was also great. They all come by every day no matter what. Dr. Stein's assistant was great. Brit with respiratory explained to my brother why 02 was needed. A big thank You to , All the Doctors. Also, Armando, Bea , Ruby, Esperanza, Pamela, Loretta, and Dietary. Crystal(Case Mananger) set appointments, as well as set up after care appointments. She was very nice and helpful. Traditions Home health has called to make sure everything is ready once he gets home. I'm very pleased, 1st time hospitalized after Bayshore. I felt the Love..
