Last week in the newspaper there is a large headline that says "HOME FOR THANKSGIVING". It's the time again for the holidays and people traveling near and far to go "home" for Thanksgiving or Christmas. No matter what our age is, we always refer to "home" as to the parents' house where we grew up. At least most of us do that. Around the holidays, the family will get together and have a joyous family...

In our lives, we always want things to change for the better. We complain about everything - husband does not care enough, not enough money, kids do not listen, boss is mean, etc. So, we keep looking for something better, something that will make us feel better or as long as it is not "this". We complain to people around us; how some things always happen and we end up in situations that we do not desire....

Last week we talked about "Giving", this week, we are going to talk about "Taking". It is easy for us to understand about giving. We usually do not feel that we are taking. When there is giving, there is always taking. People who receive gifts, people who receive gratitude, people who ask others to help them with something, employer asking the employees to do something out of their responsibilities,...

When we say giving, we automatically relate to giving to charities, to the people who are in need, giving gifts to friends or family members during holidays, birthdays to show that we care. It is always good to give. Giving has no strings attached. When we give someone a gift, what that person does with the gift has nothing to do with us. He or she can give to someone else or they can throw it away....

Last year, a friend of mine came to town and we had dinner at the Westfield Shopping Center downtown, the high-end food court. After dinner, I told my friend that she does not need to clear the table because someone will come and pick them up. She said she wanted to make the person feel that someone cares about her. With all the turmoil in the economy, most people feel the effects in their lives emotionally, mentally and physically. The ripple effect of the economy affect us one way or another. However, most people feel the effects in their surroundings but they do not see the turmoil inside of them that had been there for a long time. The turmoil has been inside of us since we were very young and it keeps growing....

It is now the greatest time of my life everything has changed tremendously. For one thing, I am writing my own Blog, which I never thought I would do. Some of you who know me, I cannot write. So, this is a big leap for me. It's interesting to see that many people have difficulties taking any leaps or making any changes in their life.
