Thanks for asking. When you say "is my head supposed to go up", I guess you are asking "Does it lift up off the bed?" No, your head doesn't need to lift up off the surface/bed on which you lay. When you pull the strap "upward", you are pulling in this direction: from the muscles at the base of your skull toward the top of your head. So, imagine lenthening your spine, getting taller. Don't "try" too hard. You don't want to make your neck muscles work. IF it feels good to lift the head using the strap AS you lengthen, then go for it. But focus on feeling taller. You should be going slowly, so notice what feels good to you!

I'm not sure I'm clear on how to do this. Is my head supposed to go up at all? I couldn't tell from the video. I have neck tension sometimes, so I'd like to try this stretch. Thanks!
