Choose your Reiki Master Teacher Wisely

I'm amazed at how many people will go through dozens of references/referrals for painting contractors, hair stylists, restaurants, etc. and yet many of those same people will just select a reiki master teacher as if they were playing pin the tail on the donkey.

Day after day I hear what I call "Reiki Horror Stories" of people who took reiki classes and yes are certified, some, even as masters and yet have no clue about reiki and often have even stopped using reiki on themselves or helping others with reiki. This is such a shame. INTERVIEW your prospective reiki master teacher. Ask questions, ask for references from past students, ask for their credentials and who their master teacher was, etc. You are coming to reiki to empower yourself and improve your life. This is not the time to short change yourself with someone who may be a fraudulent reiki master who culled their information off the Internet and possibly made up their own Certification papers. In this day of Internet and scanners etc. this is entirely possible. William Lee Rand states in his manual "Reiki The Healing Touch" that "reiki will soon be in great demand" and that Americans have spent nearly $14 billion in complementary therapies such as reiki. This is big business folks and where you have big business you have charlatans. As a reiki master teacher I am seeing more and more "reiki causualties" as I call them in the number of people who are "practitioners" coming to my healing circles and being surprised to learn things they should have learned in a level one or level two class and some of them are even reiki masters. Many reiki master teachers are out ther just to make some money and dole out certificates. People call me wanting to become reiki masters at break neck speed. Why? It seems we are living in the country of "instant everything" encouraged by the people who bow to greed and just want to make money at any cost. I stress to everyone, check out your reiki master teacher as thoroughly as you would a contractor. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Search and do your research. This is your life and you owe it to yourself to find the best, That being said I must remind you that the most expensive or the biggest is not always the best. I also have met reiki students who paid very highly for the paultry education they received. A reiki master is bound to a code of ethics, if this is not followed and there is no personal responsibility we may end up having states, like Florida force reiki master teachers to be licensed because of those who have no ethics.

Use your judgment and again, ask questions; talk to students taught by that reiki master then decide.

I wish you love, light&healing; always,
Rose
