I waited approximately two week for my appointment as a new patient with Dr. McCormack, Patricia. On the day of my appointment, I called prior to arriving to the office, to confirm my appointment time, which was at 1040am. I arrived at the office early to take care of any paperwork that I might have to fill out as a new patient. Upon entering the medical office and greeting the receptionist/office manager, the office manager aggressively and rudely asked did I have an appointment. I informed her that I had just called to confirm, provided my name and my appointment time. She told me just to have a seat and wait. About an hour and a half, past by and I advanced to the window to ask if the doctors was running behind and to see how many other patients were ahead of me. When she again asked me if I had an appointment and commanded me to have a seat? I advised her again that yes, I signed in and my appointment was for at 1040am. She rudely stated that I must have signed in the wrong place. When I asked her to check the sign in sheet to look and see if that was the case, her response was that she didn’t speak Spanish, since I have a slight accent in my English. After 1hour and 45 minutes, she then asked for my insurance, as a retired state employee my co-pay is very little. I asked if she took a credit card because I had overlooked stopping at the bank to withdraw money, in my desire to arrive punctually to my appointment. She again quite aggressively and rudely, told me “No, I need the money; go outside and get it from the ATM.”
I then decided that I do not need to be mistreated by this member of Dr. Patricia Mc Cormack’s practice. I decided to forfeit my appointment and leave because no patient, or especially a new patient needs to be treated with such disregard, disrespect and hostility at a medical practice. This receptionist/office manager, is no asset to this practice. She is extremely hostile towards patients, rude, condescending, and culturally incentive to Bilingual patients. I DO NOT, recommend this practice for any new patient.
Another fantastic appointment at Dr McCormicks office in The Pt Pleasant office. I've been going for years and alway get 5 star care. Kristen is amazing and has been helping me with everything from cancer issues to freezing sun spots and Each and every checkup. All the techs are wonderful and today Maggie did an incredible job taking out my stitches from my Moses surgery. I also love all the girls at the front desk and Theresa is amazing. She alway calls me back if there is a cancelation and also calls to confirm my appointments. Super friendly like Family. I can't say enough about this Dermatologist office. I give them 10 stars.
I don't remember how far back I have been seeing Dr. McCormack. She is the BEST, knowledge-wise, and caring personality. I am so comfortable that she is one of my medical professionals.
I had a procedure done yesterday at Dr. McCormick‘s office. Dr. Kickin did my MOS test . Frank, the technician that took care of me , was absolutely professional, kind and very caring. He made sure to be gentle & explain each thing he was going to do. I was extremely anxious and he was so patient with me. Frank is a #1 technician!
I have been a patient of Dr. Patricia McCormack for over 10 years. In this time she has monitored areas and biopsied areas and my care has been excellent. With pre-cancerous, basal cell and squamous cell results in instances, her treatment has always addressed these concerns with expertise, care and excellent results. She is always current in medical dermatological treatments. I appreciate the time that Dr.McCormack spends with me at each visit and the thoroughness of her care. I find her that her manner is always patient and caring. I also find her office staff to be pleasant and professional each time I visit. In addition, scheduling appointments whether months out, or in case of an emergency, is always very reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. McCormack and her practice!
The wait times are always, always, always out of hand....hours, not minutes. That speaks to greed and disrespect. They overbook to bring in the $$. The medical side is good, office staff arrogant and rude.
It has been a couple years since I went to this doctor. I had basal cell carcinoma along my hair line and it had to be removed. The surgeon who did the procedure was very good. I wish I could remember his name. The office staff was pretty nice. The physician assistant was okay. Never once did I actually see Dr. McCormack. I don't think she was ever present in the office. That was disconcerting. She is no longer in my insurance plan so I can't utilize this practice any longer. If you want to actually see the doctor this is not the place to go.
I find this the worst office. You never see the "wizzard" (Dr. McCormack - only her PA). The office staff is rude as well. Find anohter dermatologist if you can.
I recently went to Dr. McCormack's office in Point Pleasant interested in botox and fillers and would like to post about my wonderful experience. First of all, the office staff was very considerate in calling me before my appointment that day to ask if I can come later to shorten my waiting time, which I greatly appreciated. When I arrived, I didn't even have to wait! The assistants brought me into a room right away. Dr. McCormack discussed botox and fillers thoroughly with me, as I had many questions since it was my first time. She then did the procedure which was painless! Overall, Dr. McCormack and her staff were warm, caring, and very knowledgeable. The experience exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend this office. I was treated with the utmost respect, as I treat my doctors as well. Any negative reviews are unfounded.
