The experience was so pleasant from Amy to David and to Dr Woolfson. I was nervous and David made me alot more comfortable. He is so pleasant. Dr Woolfson made me feel secure. I am so happy with my experience and wish I had done it sooner.
Dr. Woolfson and his staff are amazing! Everyone was helpful and made me feel comfortable. David was awesome and made sure everyone's questions were answered. My one day post op appointment went very well. My doctor said everything looked good and I am seeing 20/20!
My experience leading up to the surgery was great. All the doctors I saw and all the staff / nurses were excellent. On the day of the surgery David was great at easing tension. Dr Woolfson also did a great job explaining what was going to happen and told some excellent stories to illustrate problems to avoid.
Dr. Woolfson made me feel comfortable. I never felt like he was rushing through consultations or discussions about my procedure. I had a last minute change in procedure plan and every staff member I interacted with made sure that I was comfortable with everything that was going on and that I understood the changes.
Very happy with results! However, I am very dissatisfied with my in office experience in dealing with all of the 'doctors in training'. I do not mind having 1 trainee in the room but there was one appointment where I had to deal with 4 different trainees throughout the visit. I felt as if the doctors discussion with them was more important and higher priority than my care and our discussion. It's also very distracting when I was trying to communicate with the doctor and understand issues at hand. It was so distracting that I could not even process what was being said or ask questions I needed to. It's also very inconsiderate of my time. Having to play prototype would turn a 15 minute meeting into an hour meeting. This should be better monitored and reduced to be more respectful of patients that pay too dollar for this procedure. I also did not appreciate having to look into a bright light repeatedly so all these trainees could see my eyes. I had halos that lasted for 3 hours after being poked and pushed around. That is not what I paid for.
What an amazing experience! I have worked in a hospital, private clinic, and multi-doctor clinic and was INCREDIBLY impressed with the very high level of care Dr. Woolfson and his staff provided. Having Uncle David sit with us while we were in the pre-op antechamber was so great. It gave us tons of time for asking questions and just getting comfortable. 1. I wish I had known prior was that we are not supposed to let our pet (a dog, in my case) sleep in the bed with us post-op. I found this out the day of surgery, so I wasn't able to prepare my dog to sleep elsewhere. 2. I was a little confused about when to use the artificial tears. I found out later that we were only supposed to use the preservative ones 4x/day and that if we wanted to use them more we needed to use preservative-free. Maybe having that written on the instruction sheet would have been helpful. 3. The instruction sheet was hard to read post-operatively. I did not have my readers yet, so had to rely on my memory for how to use them. Suggest making the font quite a bit larger. :) Those are such minor things and everyone-from Ben, to John, to Uncle David, to the residents-was AMAZING! Thank you thank you!!!
From the consultation through the post procedure check-up, Woolfson staff is thorough and professional. Exceptional staff gives every detail of procedure and walks you through the entire process. Alex, Jennifer, Anne, David, the doctor who created my vision plan and of course, Dr. Woolfson are Exceptional! Thank you all!
