I'd leave 0 stars if possible. Aside from this facility losing my father's clothing, he also contracted C. Difficile while in rehab. Never mind the fact we've visited at different times and never saw my father outside of his bed (rather odd for a rehab facility, yes?).

Anyway, we brought my mother by to visit my father- the door was open, nurses not wearing PPE, and although a sign was purportedly on the door, nobody informed my mother (his primary point of contact with the facility) he contracted C. Diff.

She was by earlier in the week and wondered where his clothes were- apparently, they lost them? How can a facility lose 6 complete changes of clothing so fast when every piece of clothing has his full name written clearly with indelible ink?

Staff generally has been helpful and kind/courteous and friendly... Until today. One nurse copped a major attitude when we asked about these following thigs:
1: where were his clothes? This wasn't a "pass the buck", it was pure surly attitude.
2: what was their plan for recovery from C. Difficile? My spouse is a nurse and intimately familiar with this ailment so we just wanted to be in the loop.
3: why did nobody contact my mother?
4: staff ignored the call bell, despite seeing numerous nurses present on the floor nearby?
5: the nurse "attending" him (and I use that term very loosely) copped a major attitude with my mother, me, and my wife and immediately went on the defensive, questioning why we wanted to know. Umm, he's there for rehab, not to contract a life-threatening ailment... that he has been suffering for days and was VISIBLY in worse health than last week when we all visited

Further, the senior admins on-site during our visit could not provide answers to anything.

After departing, my mother contacted the facility and is having him transferred to the hospital so he can be treated for C. Diff, which in turn further inhibits his rehabilitation.

I cannot in good faith advise anybody to bring their loved ones to this facility. One lousy member of staff was bad enough, but all these items above reflect on lackadaisical management and administration- especially after hearing the on-site admin mention to the concierge that they don't know how to add my an my wife as contacts, never mind that we could not get a clear answer as to why his clothing disappeared AND why nobody reached out to my mother to keep her in the loop.

I will also be lodging a formal complaint to the state health board. My father contracted C.Diff while on-site (he's been at Hanover almost 2 weeks beforehand).

My mother is currently a patient there, so I'm taking notes on some issues and will submit after she's discharged, for I feel that she will be ignored.
I'm a bit disappointed in this facility because I have had a couple of meetings with them concerning my mother. Some of those issues still are not being met. For the most part I feel they are doing the best they can but are in much needed room for improvement, especially with the aids/cna's attitudes. Cleanliness is another concern and I'll explain later.
As for recommendation I would certainly check around first and then decide.

We would like to thank my husband's speech therapist Tara Helper and his physical therapist Will Enoch. Each have been outstanding in helping my husband get back to health. There have been others that have helped also. Everyone is friendly and helpful when you need anything. The facility is clean and neat. My one fault would be that the meals in the dining hall were not always warm.

Used facility as a rehab for physical therapy after surgery. Both occupational and physical therapist listened to my needs and set set my individual goals to take care of myself with limited assistance at home. Limited personal assistance needed by the overall staff met my needs.

Their phone rang a lot and it was really annoying

I would not recommend this facility to nobody. The staff was not friendly at all. Several times we had to call nursing station due to information my father had gave us about them not giving him his medication and stuff. One day they told my dad they had taking him down for an xray and he still had pneumonia and my father insisted that it was not him and he was correct and they were ready to give him the wrong medication then they realize it was the wrong patient. Also the day after my dad got discharge they sent out a letter the same day and we received it the next day requesting payment ridiculous. My dad was home one day and ended up right back at the hospital for a acute urinary tract infection because they were not cleaning around his catheder. Never again will I take any family member back there

Well not let Hospice in! Claims can give comfort care instead, hospice is extra care on top of routine care comfort care is routine care
