Optigen IS very hard to get ahold of. Customer service never knows what to do. I got supplies fro years from them. Last year they suddenly broke up my order into two boxes. A caller asked if I wanted the nasal pillows sent (uhhh. yes). I asked them to confirm that it would not suddenly be a seperate bill. They said it would not be billed seperately. surprise...it was and continued to be. I called 8 November to cancel my orders completely...yet I still get the crap in the mail. Im on the phone right now trying to ensure my account has been closed with them.
Terrible service. Rude employees calling me. They seem to hire people that do not speak English well (One employee said they were calling from a company called "oxygen") Did not get supplies they said they were sending, At one point they told me they could not get my supplies. I have a 1 year contract with them so I can't get supplies anywhere else. They have over 700 Better Business Bureau investigations in the last 3 years, most of which are unresolved. If I had known what they were like when I first signed up, I would have gone elsewhere. One star is the lowest rating I can give. If I could give a zero or negative star review, I would.
The gals taking my orders are very friendly and they always send exactly what I ordered. Unfortunately, because their office is in Florida, and I reside in Nevada, it usually takes a couple of weeks for the products to get to me.
Overpriced supplies, ignores orders to stop sending supplies, too automated. Actual cost of machine $600.00. Charged insurance thousands and my co pay was over a thousand for a $600.00 machine.
Worse customer ever, from a person who used to work in customer service. Spent all afternoon on the phone trying to get someone live to talk to, to ask about a bill, only to be hung up on twice.
Worst customer service ever! Never get my supplies on auto basis. Have to call each time.
Got new machine two years ago. Already gone bad. Trying to get replacement or repair...good luck with that! It has been months. Reps seem to want to help, but satisfaction is still a long shot.
Will add to the growing list of frustrated active duty members.
Spend a couple of hours with OPTIGEN detailing the processes to bill the correct insurance even though I've been receiving services from this company over 10 years. Company did not place a claim as discussed and re-billed me again...Extreme frustration. I looked at the previous claims and it seems as if the company overcharges TRICARE for supplies as well. Not sure if there are some business negotiations going on behind the scenes, but I've never had to directly deal with OPTIGEN until this point. I am very disappointed.
I'm hoping that at some point Tricare will figure out that this company is terrible. Billing processes are not streamlined.
Billing is terrible. I have called billing and customer service and waited and waited and no one picked up. I am covered by two insurance providers and one is Tricare. Tricare denied my claim because Optigen would not file against my other insurance. I would expect Optigen to help with the filing but I am the one having to ask my primary provider. Not very helpful. I plan on returning the equipment and switch to another company for my APAP
